Summer Plein Air, where we have been and where we are going


Mood's Covered Bridge on Friday the 3rd. Washington's Crossing Sunday the 12th.Here is what to know.


Both classes are now running:

All levels welcome. Beginners to advanced.


Summer light and heat are different from the spring. We gather in the morning to get some work done before it is too hot! We can also work in the shade in both spots.

Here is what is coming up this week:

Friday July 3: Perkasie
Mood's Covered Bridge Park, Perkasie
Parking lot, port-o-let, multiple painting views including a short walk to a really good river view. And there is a Dunkin nearby.

Use the parking pin first, then walk to the painting location. 9am to noon.


No Class Sunday July 5th, next class...

Sunday July 12 — New Hope Washington Crossing Historic Park ​​Get directions​​

Use the pin above. Do not search the park name — Washington Crossing has multiple entrances and the pin puts you in the right spot. 9am to noon.

Note: the Student Show opens at Pennswood Art Gallery in Newtown at 2pm the same day. Come paint in the morning and see the show in the afternoon.Both classes continue through the end of summer. Drop in any session.

New Hope Sundays through August 2. No class July 5. $47 drop-in.
Perkasie Fridays through July 24. $47 drop-in.

P.S. The Student Show opens July 12 at Pennswood Art Gallery, Newtown. Artist Talk and Opening at 2pm. Free. If you are painting at Washington Crossing in the morning it is an easy trip after class.

Friday's plein-air session is cancelled We will find a make up time soon Hi all, I'm cancelling tomorrow's landscape session at Lake Nockamixon. Air quality is expected to be poor, and painting outdoors for hours in it isn't worth the risk to anyone's lungs.
