A note from Sharon Ann before Friday

Watercolor Fridays start in our new location

All levels welcome. Beginners to advanced.

Hello Reader,

When people sign up for one of my watercolor classes, they think they are signing up to learn how to paint.

What I hope to offer is something more than that...

Long before a class begins, I am thinking about the experience I want to create for you. The colors that will find their way onto your palette. The conversations that unfold around the table. The feeling I hope you carry home when the afternoon is over.

As a teaching artist for more than 26 years, I have learned that art flourishes when people feel welcomed, encouraged, and genuinely seen. Every lesson is thoughtfully planned, every demonstration carefully prepared, every project designed to help you grow at your own pace while experiencing the pleasure of making something with your hands.

My hope is that you leave with more than a finished painting.

I hope you leave with a greater appreciation for what art can do — how it slows us down, sharpens our eye, and helps us notice beauty in ordinary moments.

I hope you leave with a sense of community. The kind that naturally forms when people sit down together, share stories, and make something side by side.

And I hope you leave feeling that creativity belongs to you. Not to a select few. To all of us.

Friday's plein-air session is cancelled We will find a make up time soon Hi all, I'm cancelling tomorrow's landscape session at Lake Nockamixon. Air quality is expected to be poor, and painting outdoors for hours in it isn't worth the risk to anyone's lungs. I know it's a disappointing way to lose a session, especially with the weather otherwise cooperating. We'll schedule a make up day once everyone can be there together, and I'll get that date to you as soon as it's set. Thanks for...
